As data estates become more complex, security matters more than ever
Miso has spent nearly 30 years helping organisations implement FME across complex enterprise digital estates. That work demands more than technical FME expertise. It requires a complete data engineering capability, with security built into the way we design, deliver and support customer solutions.
That’s why Cyber Essentials Plus is an important addition to our existing ISO 27001 accreditation and previous Cyber Essentials certification. Together, they demonstrate the maturity of our security practices and support the confidence our corporate customers have placed in Miso for almost three decades.
Our Cyber Essentials Plus certification provides independent assurance that our defences against common cyber threats are working effectively. While the standard Cyber Essentials certification is based on a self-assessment independently reviewed, Cyber Essentials Plus goes a step further by requiring hands-on technical testing carried out by an external assessor. This includes verifying that key security controls are correctly implemented and effective across areas like secure configuration, access control, malware protection, software updates, and vulnerability management.
ISO 27001 is a broader international standard for information security management. Rather than focusing solely on technical controls, it assesses how an organisation identifies, manages, and reduces information security risks across its entire operation. Achieving ISO 27001 accreditation demonstrates that we have formal processes, governance structures, policies, training, and continual improvement mechanisms in place to protect information.
“For us, it’s about giving our customers confidence,” says Daniel Cook, Delivery Manager at Miso. “As our work moves deeper into customer infrastructure, independent verification shows that our security practices are robust, tested, and externally reviewed.”
The security landscape is constantly evolving, and so are we. These certifications reflect our commitment to continually investing in the right technologies, training our team, and refining our processes to stay ahead of emerging threats.
For our customers, this means they can work with Miso knowing that security is engrained in how we operate, and in how we deliver complex data and infrastructure projects.
